What is a Function?

Image
What is a Function?       Example:   y = 3 x +2    is an equation with 2 variables, x and y . it can also be considered as a function where x is the input and y is the output.   We use an ordered pair ( x , y ) to represent sets of input and output that satisfy the equation. There are multiples of solution to this equation. It is impossible to list out all ordered pair that satisfy the equation. (too many!) The best way to represent the solutions to the equation is by drawing a graph that passes through the ordered-pair of the function. The graph of a linear equation or linear function is a straight line. Every point on the graph satisfies the equation.

Comment: Q1 : Please take note of the comments that I have written in RED. Q2 : Please use SHORTEST method to find the required angles.         For instant, to find r, use corresponding angles of // lines directly instead of alternate angles of           parallel lines followed by vertically opposite angles .    Comment: Try to make use of exterior angle method  to find the number of sides of a regular polygon. Presentation wise, for either method, you are expected to FORM an equation and then solve it to find the number of sides.
