Note: Leave your answer in 3 s.g if the degree of accuracy is not specified in the question Use calculator "pi" if it is not given in the question When working with non exact value, always work with 2 more than the expected degree of accuracy in your intermediate steps. i.e if final answer is 3 s.f, you work with 5 s.f., or if final answer has to be in 2 d.p., you work with 4 d.p

Gradient of a Straight Line Graph Tips: Always keep your RUN positive (in the positive x -direction, to the RIGHT)   Equation of a Straight Line Graph Bonus: Sketching a Straight line Graph Sketching graph does not require graph paper!

What is a Function?

Image
What is a Function?       Example:   y = 3 x +2    is an equation with 2 variables, x and y . it can also be considered as a function where x is the input and y is the output.   We use an ordered pair ( x , y ) to represent sets of input and output that satisfy the equation. There are multiples of solution to this equation. It is impossible to list out all ordered pair that satisfy the equation. (too many!) The best way to represent the solutions to the equation is by drawing a graph that passes through the ordered-pair of the function. The graph of a linear equation or linear function is a straight line. Every point on the graph satisfies the equation.
